Responsibilities:

  • Cashier Reconciliation: Reconcile cashier cash-ups and transaction slips from the previous day.
  • Drop Safe Transactions: Perform reconciliation of drop safe transactions against cashier drops to ensure accuracy.
  • Goods Receiving: Maintain the Goods Receiving Book by capturing invoice and credit note numbers according to the receiving policy.
  • Filing: Keep account holder filing up to date and organized.
  • E-Fuel Payments: Process e-fuel payments efficiently.
  • Stock Counting: Conduct regular stock counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Customer Assistance: Assist cashiers with voids and address customer queries promptly.
  • Office Supply Inventory: Maintain office supply inventory and ensure availability of necessary items.

Skills:

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain order.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Independence: Ability to work unsupervised, demonstrating maturity and honesty, especially when working alone one weekend per month, including cash office responsibilities.
  • Customer Interaction: Ability to work with customers, providing exceptional service.
  • Transportation: Must have own transport, as standby is required for on-duty weekends.
  • Communication Skills: Strong telephone and conversational skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer use, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans.
  • Office Management: Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work at least one weekend per month.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Matric Certificate.
  • Software: Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • License: Valid driver’s license.

Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have one to three (1-3) years of experience in a similar role.
