Job Overview:

TWK Agri is hiring cashiers for various locations within their Trade Division. The cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions, maintaining the cash register, and ensuring a clean and orderly checkout area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Transaction Handling:

Compute and record transactions using calculators, cash registers, or optical scanners.
Receive payments by cash or card and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and adequate change.
Sort, count, and wrap notes and coins.
Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions.

Customer Interaction:

Greet customers entering the establishment.
Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their purchases.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to transactions.

Merchandise Management:

Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment.
Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items.

Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.

Additional Duties:

Perform stock takes and other inventory management tasks.

Perform any other ad hoc duties as required by the manager (specific to the Empangeni location).

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Matric / Grade 12
Experience: Previous cashier experience is required.

Skills:
Computer literate.
Ability to work with money and manage cash transactions accurately.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and handle customer interactions professionally.
