The University is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual who will be responsible for driving institution’s vehicles on approved requisition and to transport passengers, goods and mail delivery. The incumbent reports to the Manager: Transport and must meet the requirements, competencies and be responsible for the key performance areas listed below:

REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric/ Grade 12/ NQF level 4 or 5 certificate or equivalent
- A valid code C1 driving licence
- A Public Driving Permit (PDP)
- At least two (2) years’ driving experience
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours
- Computer literacy (MS Office package)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Transport students and/or staff members to various destinations
- Transportation of goods
- Drop off and collect vehicles from merchants and airports transfers
- Vehicle inspections
- Fleet maintenance
- Collect, transport and deliver mail
- Safety, health and environmental management
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Perform any other official transport duties as directed by the Manager: Transport
- Contribute to the overall development of SMU
