Qualifications and Experience :
- Matric/ Grade 12/ NQF level 4 or 5 certificate
- Or N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science and English (50% are essential)
- Driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- The applicant will be required to take a mechanical insight test and pass sufficiently.
- The applicant will go through trough the standard background checks before being considered for the next step. The applicant will go through a medical assessment to establish fitness for work.
- Applicants that are successful will be placed through a Psychometric assessment and a face to face interview.

- Duration:
- Levels 1 – 4: 4-year contract.
- Training Sessions:
- 5 days in 5 weeks at Imperial Technical Training Academy (ITTA).
- Distance learning program (CDX) for interactive demonstrations, tutorials, quizzes, and practical exercises.
- Assessment Methods:
- Computer-based testing and examination.
- Practical competency testing.
- MIBCO Minimum Wages:
- MIBCO minimum wages apply for CBMT Apprentices.
- On-the-Job Experience:
- Haval Service Department provides on-the-job experience aligned with CBMT competence levels.
- Apprentices work alongside assigned technicians to learn service maintenance and repairs as per manufacturers’ descriptions.
- Gather evidence to complete the portfolio of evidence required by ITTA.
