ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Code 10 driver’s license

Public drivers’ permit (PDP)

Grade 12

Sober habits

Responsible person

Must be able to pass the Dover Test

Must be willing to work shifts

Must be medically fit

At least 2 years previous experience as a Duty Driver working within the Mining environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Escort suppliers, or visitors through the site, providing guidance on rules, hazards, and safety Follow designated routes and schedules

Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any issues.

Adherence to safety protocols.

Maintain communication with stores/procurement personnel

Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.

Ensure the cleanness of vehicle.

Receive items delivered by suppliers

Facilitate the delivery of consumables and equipment from suppliers to the underground workings.

Work closely with the production teams and the procurement department to ensure efficient logistics planning.

Identify and resolve transport-related issues promptly to avoid downtimes or operational inefficiencies

Be available for overtime and standby duties when required.

Ensuring the safe transportation of hazardous materials with mine safety regulations and standards with logistics providers and contractors.

Monitor consumables inventories at portals ensuring timely replenishment to avoid operational disruptions
