VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – EASTERN GATE ACADEMY
Eastern Gate Academy, a Christ-centred institution dedicated to providing holistic and values-driven education, is inviting applications from passionate, qualified, and committed educators to join its dynamic teaching team. We are currently seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified teachers for the following positions:
- Biology Teacher (1 position)
- Chemistry Teacher (1 position)
- Physics Teacher (1 position)
- Geography Teacher (1 position)
- French Teacher (1 position)
- Setswana Teacher (1 position)
- Commercials Teacher – Business Studies/Commerce (1 position)

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in their respective subject areas
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence
- Integrate Christian values and principles into teaching and interactions with students
- Participate in school programs, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Uphold and promote the values and philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist education
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A degree in the relevant teaching subject or a closely related field
- A recognized educational qualification (teaching diploma or equivalent) – this is mandatory
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver content effectively
- Ability to teach up to A-Level will be an added advantage
- A clear understanding of and willingness to adhere to the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
Additional Skills and Co-Curricular Involvement
Eastern Gate Academy values holistic education, which includes active participation in sports and extracurricular development. Therefore, candidates with expertise or the ability to contribute in at least one of the following areas will have an added advantage:
- Basketball
- Netball
- Swimming
- Football
