Job Description:
As a Unit Administrative Assistant at Mediclinic Muelmed, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to nursing unit processes and procedures.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  1. Perform a range of administrative duties to support efficient unit operations.
  2. Assist with patient administration tasks, including admissions, discharges, and patient record management.
  3. Control pharmaceutical stock levels, ensuring adequate supply and proper storage.
  4. Provide reception services, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to established recordkeeping protocols.
  6. Manage office resources and supplies, ensuring availability for day-to-day operations.
  7. Handle compliments and complaints from patients and visitors, escalating issues as necessary.
  8. Demonstrate professional telephone etiquette when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Proficiently use computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office suite, for data entry and document processing.
  10. Capture and input data accurately into relevant systems, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Essential Minimum Education: Grade 12 (with computer literacy subjects or an additional computer literacy certificate).
  • Desired Education: Administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Essential Minimum Experience: Reception / Secretarial / Personal Assistant / Administration training.
  • Desired Experience: None specified.
