Lindsay Saker Edenvale is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual for the position of Driver: Light Duty.
Reporting to the Used Vehicle Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing all driving duties and assisting with various departmental tasks as needed.

Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Inspection: Check vehicles for defects, damages, and ensure they are in a roadworthy condition. Ensure all vehicles are locked.
- Accident and Offense Reporting: Report all accidents and traffic offenses promptly.
- General Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department.
- Translation Assistance: Assist with translation of other languages when necessary.
- New Vehicle Checks: Inspect all new vehicles for damage, defects, missing tools, and spare wheels. Report findings to the manager.
- Security: Ensure all vehicles are locked, and keys are securely stored in the key box or at reception.
- Battery Maintenance: Start vehicles regularly to ensure batteries are not damaged.
- Overtime and Night Shifts: Be available to work overtime and night shifts from 20h00 to 05h00 as required.
- Driver Training: Provide driver training to customers and drivers during the handover of new vehicles and complete all necessary training reports.
- Vehicle Movement: Move vehicles between dealerships, suppliers, and customers as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric).
- License: Must possess a valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Time Management: Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Driver Training Qualification: A qualification in driver training from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or a similar institution would be beneficial.
