Ready to get behind the wheel? We’re looking for a dependable Driver who takes pride in getting every delivery to the right place, safely, on time and with great service along the way.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely transport and deliver the correct stock on time and in good condition.
• Check stock before departure and assist with loading and offloading when required.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
• Collect and manage returned stock correctly and safely.
• Complete and submit PODs, trip sheets and delivery documentation.
• Perform vehicle inspections and report breakdowns, accidents or problems.
• Drive responsibly to reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear.
• Follow all road, health, safety, hygiene and food-safety requirements.

Job Requirements

What You’ll Need 

• Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• Valid Driver’s Licence – Code C1 (10) with PrDP or Code EC (14) with PrDP.
• At least 1 year of proven truck driving experience.
• Basic vehicle mechanical know-how.
• Solid understanding of road safety regulations.
• Familiarity with the local geographic area.
• Basic product and customer handling knowledge.

Special Requirements:

• Willing to travel long distances (early starts and overnight stays may be required).
• Operational requirements may also mean working outside normal hours.
