Job Summary:
Motus Toyota Parktown is currently seeking a skilled Repair Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Manager of Service, this role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in a workshop environment. As a Repair Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with technicians to repair vehicles according to established procedures and instructions.
- Perform tasks such as removing and replacing parts or units from vehicles under the guidance of a Technician.
- Safely jack up vehicles and place trestles to facilitate repair work.
- Assist in lubricating and changing oils, adhering strictly to manual specifications.
- Replace wheels, air filters, and oil filters as required.
- Participate in diagnosing brake wear and replacing brakes as needed.
- Conduct Pre-Delivery inspections on both new and used cars to ensure quality standards are met before retail.
- Remove and fit batteries as part of vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the repair shop area, including cleaning parts and general housekeeping duties.
