In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding premises and personnel by conducting regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring strict access control measures. Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Safeguarding employees, visitors, buildings, and movable assets
- Conducting thorough patrols of the property to deter and detect security threats
- Monitoring surveillance systems to identify any suspicious activities
- Conducting routine inspections of the premises and equipment to ensure compliance with security protocols
- Controlling access points, including entrances and exits, to regulate the flow of personnel and vehicles
- Responding promptly to alarms and other security incidents to mobilize assistance as needed
- Reporting any irregularities or security breaches and taking appropriate action to address them
- Directing traffic and providing instructions to drivers to maintain order and safety
- Completing detailed reports documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken
- Providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the security and well-being of all individuals and assets
- Remaining vigilant and proactive in identifying and addressing potential security risks and vulnerabilities

Qualifications:
- Grade 11/12 or equivalent qualification
- PSIRA registration
- Valid driver’s license (an advantage)
- Firearm competency for business use (an advantage)
- Clear criminal record
