As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for enhancing product presentation and maximizing sales impact through effective merchandising strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating appealing product displays in accordance with seasonal cycles and promotional offers.
- Maintaining accepted merchandising standards and ensuring adherence to in-store planograms.
- Implementing product displays according to store floor/freezer plans.
- Removing defective, expired, or outdated products and replacing them with fresh stock while ensuring proper stacking and display.
- Installing promotional banners, posters, and displays within the store to attract customer attention.
- Conducting regular checks on product stocking, merchandising, and display systems.
- Engaging with store staff to communicate upcoming projects and timelines effectively.

You will also be tasked with monitoring shelf stock to align with the 8 Shelf Health Elements:
- Ensuring shelves are consistently stocked to capacity.
- Optimizing product placement for maximum visibility and sales.
- Maintaining the right product facings to enhance shelf appeal.
- Verifying correct pricing and labeling on products.
- Implementing stock rotation practices (First In, First Out).
- Keeping shelves clean and free from debris or spills.
- Upholding a high standard of product quality presentation.
- Ensuring the correct range and assortment of products is available.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- At least 1 year of relevant merchandising experience.
- Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and public holidays.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
