Job Description
As a Delivery Assistant at Brits Bakery, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach customers promptly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

• Off-loading goods from delivery trucks and ensuring accurate delivery to customers.
• Transporting crates of products into stores and assisting with shelf stocking.
• Counting inventory during deliveries to maintain accuracy.
• Returning empty crates to the delivery truck.
• Assisting the driver with reversing maneuvers and handling puncture repairs en route.
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions with store personnel.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in delivery areas and trucks.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations during deliveries and while on the road.
• Reporting any delivery issues or discrepancies promptly to management.

Shifts: Day shifts, including weekends and public holidays as needed

Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you will need:

• Matric qualification or equivalent (NQF Level 3).
• Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count inventory.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy crates.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer interactions.
• Basic mechanical skills to assist with minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Time management skills and ability to work efficiently within tight delivery schedules.
• Valid driver’s license (Code 8 or higher) is preferred but not essential.
