Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
Driver’s License: Code 10 with a valid PDP permit.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a driver.
Additional Requirement: No infringements against driver’s license/permit.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Conduct daily pre-trip checks on the vehicle to ensure compliance with the National Road and Traffic Act.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs to the Fleet Manager.
- Maintain and complete daily logs and inspection sheets.
- Ensure deliveries of other resources and transport of employees when necessary.
- Prioritize job requests to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
- Safely transport patients and other passengers.
- Secure vehicles in company facilities, lock them, and keep the keys in a safe place.
- Fill up vehicles before weekends or public holidays.
- Ensure daily checks of equipment functionality.
This position requires someone responsible and capable of ensuring the safe transportation of patients while maintaining vehicle standards and documentation.
