Position Summary:
Lancet Laboratories is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Switchboard Operator Pta, based in Pretoria. This permanent position entails handling incoming calls, providing assistance to callers, and transferring calls to relevant departments and staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
The Switchboard Operator will be responsible for various tasks including, but not limited to:
- Logging onto the laboratory information system to address messages and queries left overnight according to standard operating procedures.
- Utilizing the courier management program to check for collections and determine their urgency.
- Assisting clients with information over the phone and transferring calls appropriately.
- Updating the list of telephone numbers for all depots.
- Managing internal mail distribution and hand deliveries for various departments.
- Overseeing telephone accounts for Pencardia.
- Compiling monthly rosters for day and night shift switchboard operators.
- Troubleshooting visitor inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department.
- Performing scanning tasks as requested by management and maintaining the message board.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
