The Transport Department seeks Code 14 Drivers responsible for operating a variety of code 14 vehicles. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the vehicle and load’s safety.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any faults.
- Loading and off-loading various materials and equipment.
- Adhering to the Road Traffic Act and ensuring the safety of other road users.
- Following regulations outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies, and road regulations.
- Navigating the Gauteng area efficiently.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with a valid PDP.
- 3 years of driving experience.
- Hands-on and practical approach to the job.
- Experience driving vehicles with manual gearboxes.

Ensuring Vehicle and Load Safety:
- Prioritize the safety of the vehicle and its cargo throughout the transportation process.

Loading and Off-loading Various Materials and Equipment:
- Safely load and off-load diverse materials and equipment onto and from the vehicle, ensuring proper securing and handling techniques are employed to prevent damage or accidents.
Adherence to Traffic and Safety Regulations:
- Strictly adhere to the Road Traffic Act and all relevant traffic laws and regulations to ensure compliance and safety on the road.
- Maintain awareness of road conditions and hazards, taking appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of other road users and pedestrians.
