Job Description:

In-Service Trainee Brewing This job’s primary goal is to assist the value chain in the laboratory by checking and analyzing beer and packaging to allow production to make beer that satisfies SAB quality requirements.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Perform specific quality evaluations that are outside the purview of the shift-based teams.
  • Analyzing outcomes should be documented on relevant information systems, and results should be shared as needed.
  • Analyze the data to find issues and possibilities for improvement as soon as possible. When issues or chances for improvement are found, let the appropriate parties know about them.
  • When necessary, support the shift-based teams as they carry out quality analysis.
  • Perform calibration on specialized equipment that the laboratories are in charge of, and as needed, help the shift-based teams with calibration.
  • Perform quality audits as requested and required, filling out the necessary paperwork and reporting the findings.
  • Examine shift-based teams’ quality analysis processes, noting issues or areas in need of training and letting the team leader know about them.
  • Perform routine audits of shift-based production teams’ calibration processes and share the findings. When necessary, start the remedial measures resulting from the quality audits in the laboratory’s affected regions.
  • Assist the shift-based production teams in resolving issues by offering specialized guidance and methods. Participate in FFAs as a functional expert when needed. Make sure that the lessons learned from problem-solving sessions are applied to analytical and other lab operations as needed.
  • Help the shift-based production teams by lending a hand with the analysis of training needs. Participate in the CAP process, particularly the competency evaluation for quality analyses. Participate in the creation of training materials, particularly those pertaining to quality analysis.
  • Participate, if needed, in the quality analysis training provided to shift-based production teams.
  • Perform specialist analysis to assist in assessing chances for continual improvement. Ascertain the amount of extra analysis needed to assess prospects for continued development. Participate in team assessments of possibilities for continual development as necessary.
  • Participate as needed in divisional and regional process improvement projects.

  • Grade 12 and studying towards N Diploma in Food Technology/Microbiology(3rd Year Student)
  • Willing to complete In-Service/ Experiential Training in Industry.
  • Ability to control stocks of test consumables
  • Ability to archive data effectively
  • Ability to plan the work
