Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Create a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized experience for all customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Sales: Drive sales and turnover by motivating and inspiring team members to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure visual merchandising standards are met to create an aesthetically pleasing and engaging store experience.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, neat, and fully replenished sales floor to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Stock Management: Manage stock levels effectively, monitor stock losses, and minimize shrinkage.
  • Pricing: Ensure all products are correctly priced with relevant price stickers and signage.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct stock takes and cycle counts, investigate variances, and escalate any discrepancies or stock shortages to the Area Manager.
  • Point of Sale: Adhere to point of sale and banking procedures, raising any areas of concern with the Area Manager.
  • Operational Standards: Ensure compliance with all store standards, operations policies, and procedures.
  • Operational Activities: Execute all operational activities within the store effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Education: A matric, grade 12, or equivalent certificate.
  • Interest: A passion for cosmetics, retail, and customer service.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of beauty and skincare products.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to remain calm and pleasant in pressurized situations.
  • Work Ethic: A strong work ethic and a hands-on attitude.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with email and Excel.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and demonstrate products effectively.
  • Motivation: Ability to create excitement in the store, motivating the team and encouraging customer loyalty.
