Job Description:
Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a dedicated General Assistant to join their team.
The General Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the cooks and chefs with food production, handling cash registers, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness in the canteen and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and production under the guidance of cooks and chefs.
- Wash dishes and ensure the kitchen and canteen are kept clean.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and quality.
- Maintain and enhance all controls in the unit as per Fedics standards.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Provide tea service and food assistance as needed.
- Work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, as required.
Skills and Competencies:
- People Skills: Strong interpersonal and communicative abilities (both verbal and written).
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure in a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in maintaining high hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Customer Service: Client service-oriented with a focus on excellent customer relations.
- Catering Knowledge: Familiarity with the catering environment and Health and Safety policies relevant to the industry.
- Experience: Previous experience in food handling and the food industry is essential.
- Personal Qualities: Reliable, dedicated, well-organized, motivated, and well-presented with a creative flair (advantageous).
Qualifications:
- Education: Must have completed Matric (Grade 12).
