Job Description:
We currently have a vacancy for a Pellet Machine Operator in Ladismith. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Relevant work experience in a production environment.
- Proficiency in either English or Afrikaans with good verbal, written, and numerical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting durability tests and recordings.
- Assisting production and mechanical staff in changing dies, adjusting rollers, and changing sieves.
- Operating the pellet machine to meet required quality and production standards under supervision.
- Cleaning pellet machines and work areas.
- Adhering to all health and safety rules at all times.
- Committing and complying with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, 20 Keys, AFMA code of conduct, and any other company management systems.
Skills Required:
- Technical proficiency in operating pellet machines and related equipment.
- Attention to detail to conduct durability tests and maintain quality standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to assist in machine adjustments and maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production and mechanical staff.
