The Germiston branch is currently seeking to appoint an experienced, professional, and dynamic Driver who will contribute to the efficient distribution of goods while upholding the company’s high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Purpose of the Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide safe, secure, and timely transportation of goods to customers and between company locations. The Driver will play a critical role in ensuring that deliveries and collections are carried out efficiently while maintaining professionalism and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
This position requires a responsible individual who understands the importance of punctuality, safety, and accuracy in the delivery process. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the company positively during all interactions with clients, customers, and colleagues.
Key Performance Areas:
The Driver will be responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect in all interactions with ACDC staff, clients, and customers. A strong emphasis is placed on integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
Core responsibilities include the delivery and collection of orders, as well as performing any additional driver-related duties as assigned by management. The Driver must ensure that all deliveries are executed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
Vehicle maintenance is a critical aspect of the role. The successful candidate must ensure that the company vehicle is kept in good working condition, clean at all times, and maintained according to company standards and requirements. Any faults or issues must be reported promptly.
The Driver will be required to maintain an accurate and up-to-date trip logbook, documenting all journeys, deliveries, and collections. Compliance with all road traffic laws and driving regulations is mandatory at all times.
Effective route planning is essential to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. The Driver must plan routes carefully to avoid delays and ensure that deliveries are completed within the required timeframes.
Attention to detail is required when handling orders. The Driver must verify that all goods correspond with the delivery notes before leaving the premises and again upon arrival at the delivery destination. This ensures accuracy and reduces the risk of errors or discrepancies.

Job Requirements:
Applicants must possess a Matric certificate as a minimum educational qualification. A minimum of two years’ driving experience is required, preferably within a similar role or industry.
Candidates must hold a valid Code 10 driver’s licence along with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP). A clean and excellent driving record is essential.
The successful candidate must present themselves in a neat and professional manner at all times, as they will be representing the company when interacting with customers and clients.
Personal attributes required for the role include honesty, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility. The Driver must be dependable and capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of performance.
