REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems or relevant equivalent qualification in ICT at NQF 6/7
• plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience in ICT
• Competencies in general or processes: Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities;
• communication skills; organization and time management; computer literacy; Personality traits Hardware components and troubleshooting techniques are examples of technical abilities.
• Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory are examples of Microsoft desktop operating systems and software.
• thorough knowledge of a variety of computer networks and systems; Internet security and data privacy guidelines; Transverse systems; Internet security and data privacy.

Duties :

• The chosen applicant will carry out the following tasks:
• Installing and maintaining computer networks and systems will maximize their functionality and the use of technology.
• install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications;
• set up workstations with computers and peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.); build and maintain local networks;
• ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems; identify aging hardware and software;
• offering end users technical assistance for service requests and problems involving IT;
• Establish a trustworthy and stable network environment Installing and configuring LAN and WAN components, Wi-Fi access points, Wi-Fi clients on user PCs, configuring Wi-Fi access points, track and troubleshoot LAN and WAN performance;
• Periodic preventative maintenance should be done.
• Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance, upgrade systems to enable compatible software, perform tests on new hardware and software; Maintain service records.
