Motus Isuzu Bloemfontein is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Duty Driver to join our team.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role involves executing all driving duties and assisting with other reasonable departmental tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent time management skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Checks and Maintenance:
• Inspect vehicles for defects and ensure they are locked.
• Assess vehicles for damages and general roadworthiness.
• Start vehicles regularly to prevent battery damage.
• Ensure all new vehicles are free from damage, defects, and missing tools or spare wheels, reporting any issues to the Manager.
• Ensure vehicles are securely locked with keys stored in a safe key box or at reception.
• Operational Duties:
• Report all accidents and traffic offenses promptly.
• Perform all reasonable duties as required by the department.
• Assist with translations when necessary.
• Move vehicles between dealerships, suppliers, and customers.
• Work overtime or night shifts as required (from 20:00 to 05:00).
• Driver Training:
• Provide driver training to customers upon the handover of new vehicles.
• Complete all necessary reports related to the driver training provided.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of Grade 12.
• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Driver Trainer Qualification with an OEM or similar is advantageous.
