Job Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is looking for an HR Learner (OD) to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide administrative support to the Organisational Development team and relevant stakeholders across all aspects of the OD Department.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Education: Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
  • Certification: Post-Matric certification in Human Resources Management or a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year of administrative experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organisational Design:
  • Assist in designing organisational structures and job roles.
  • Help compile and maintain accurate job descriptions for the business.
  • Documentation Management:
  • Maintain and update org design documentation for availability on the Intranet and HR drives.
  • Keep a precise database of all job descriptions and profiles for the group.
  • Job Description Review:
  • Regularly review current job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect organisational changes.
  • Project Support:
  • Efficiently manage and track Org design project plans and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support for implementing organisational development initiatives, such as talent reviews, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Research and Development:
  • Conduct research to improve current OD offerings and provide administrative assistance with competency mapping implementation.
  • Coordination and Participation:
  • Assist in coordinating all OD workshops as required.
  • Participate in various OD projects to execute HR deliverables.
  • Filing and Reporting:
  • Maintain and update the OD information filing system.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research documents.
  • Policy Adherence:
  • Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.

Essential:

  • HR Knowledge: Basic understanding of HR principles.
  • Problem-Solving: Find solutions to potential issues and know when and to whom to escalate problems.
  • Communication: Conveys ideas and facts in writing using language that the reader will best understand.
  • Customer Service: Addresses customer questions in a timely manner.
  • Procedure Compliance: Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures.
  • Responsibility: Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
  • Reliability: Honest and dependable.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Special Conditions of Employment

  • Citizenship: South African citizen
  • Travel: Occasional traveling required.
  • Background Check: MIE, clear criminal, and credit record required.
