Job Description
Primary Purpose of the Job
This role entails a range of responsibilities, with a focus on ensuring strict adherence to KDC’s written SOPs, Good Warehousing and Distribution Practices, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and KDC’s Quality Management System. Key responsibilities include maintaining high standards of housekeeping, facilitating clear communication among warehouse staff, and ensuring accurate packing of orders based on generated invoices.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Application of appropriate box labels on shippers, indicating details such as cytotoxic content, fragility, dawn delivery, mixed batches, and urgency.
- Counting and weighing of packed shippers, coupled with the generation of waybills and box labels displaying the quantity of shippers.
- Prioritizing the packing of back-orders and urgent orders to streamline the dispatch process.
- Proper stock handling procedures to prevent damages, with immediate reporting of any such damages to the warehouse manager.
- Consolidation of orders before handover to the dispatch department.
- Active participation in annual stock take exercises.
