Matjhabeng Municipality is committed to addressing youth unemployment and enhancing skills development. The municipality is offering a learnership opportunity for 36 youth from various communities to undergo training in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4). This initiative aims to provide meaningful opportunities for skills enhancement and contribute to reducing youth unemployment.

Candidates will:

  • Pass a written assessment and an interview.
  • Pass a physical assessment.
  • Submit SAPS Clearance results. No other criminal clearances will be accepted.
  • Maintain fitness levels and undergo ongoing fitness assessments.
  • Adhere to the code of Conduct of the Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy.

  • The Municipality is not obligated to offer a permanent position after completion of the training.
  • Candidates will undergo extensive physical training and adhere to the Firearm and Ammunitions Act.
  • Successful candidates will wear a uniform, work shifts, and work in all weather conditions.
  • Only candidates residing in Matjhabeng will be accommodated.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • South Africans with Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • SAPS Clearance results with no criminal record.
  • Medical Examination proof.
  • Applicants must permanently reside within the jurisdiction of Matjhabeng Local Municipality.

  • Fraudulent qualifications or documentation will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Candidates canvassing any Councillor or Senior Official for preference will be disqualified.
  • Matjhabeng Municipality complies with affirmative action in terms of the Employment Equity Act (Act 55 of 1998).
