SKIP HIRE is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Front End Loader & TLB Operator to join our operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinery operator who is committed to safety, efficiency, and maintaining high operational standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily site operations by handling heavy machinery and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed effectively and responsibly.
Position Overview
The Front End Loader & TLB Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy-duty machinery used in loading, transporting, and dumping materials.
The role requires a high level of attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical skills, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
Key Responsibilities
Operate front end loaders and TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe) equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Handle the loading, compressing, and dumping mechanisms of machinery with precision and care.
Conduct daily pre-operation inspections to ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition before use.
Ensure that assigned machinery is adequately fuelled, lubricated, and serviced at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment by washing both interior and exterior parts regularly.
Identify and report any mechanical faults, damages, or required repairs immediately to the supervisor.
Complete daily work orders accurately and on time, ensuring that all required information is recorded properly.
Follow all written and verbal instructions from supervisors and management.
Maintain compliance with safety standards and operational procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and members of the public when required.
Assist in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of three (3) years proven experience operating Front End Loader and TLB machinery within a reputable company.
Valid Class B/EC & H driver’s license.
Minimum educational qualification of BGCSE or an equivalent high school completion certificate.
Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery with a high degree of skill and accuracy.
Strong understanding of machinery maintenance and operational procedures.
Knowledge of waste management processes will be considered an added advantage.
