Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide efficient and professional cashier services while delivering excellent customer experiences. The Cashier serves as the first point of contact for customers at the checkout and plays a key role in ensuring smooth and accurate transaction processing.

In addition to handling payments, the successful candidate will support food service operations by assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to company policies and procedures, particularly in relation to cash handling and hygiene standards.


Key Responsibilities

The Cashier will be responsible for a variety of operational and customer service duties, including but not limited to the following:

  • Preparing high-quality meals, fast foods, and sandwiches in line with company standards
  • Ensuring that all food items are prepared quickly and carefully to maintain consistency and quality
  • Presenting food items in an attractive and professional manner
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas
  • Operating the cash register efficiently and accurately, processing both cash and card transactions
  • Following all cash handling procedures to ensure accountability and minimize discrepancies
  • Assisting in the implementation and improvement of financial controls within the unit, particularly those related to cash management
  • Supporting stock control processes, including participation in stock-taking activities
  • Ensuring that all customer interactions are warm, professional, and service-oriented
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and encourage repeat business
  • Demonstrating product knowledge and understanding of menu items to assist customers effectively
  • Ensuring compliance with loss prevention guidelines at all times
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout and service area
  • Assisting with general food service duties as required, including serving meals and beverages
  • Reporting any discrepancies, customer concerns, or operational issues to management promptly

  • Proven track record of reliability and performance in previous roles

Working Conditions

This role is based in a food service environment and may require working flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays. The position involves standing for extended periods, interacting with customers continuously, and performing a combination of cashier and food service duties.
