Pre-entry Certificate to SMS and submission of proof. Shortlisted
applicants for the advertised vacancies will undergo two pre-entry
assessments: a practical assessment and an integrity assessment, both of
which form part of the selection criteria after the interview, the selection
committee will recommend candidates for a generic management competency
assessment, as per the Department of public Service and Administration
(DPSA) directives.
The assessment will evaluate candidates’ managerial
competencies using standardised tools. NB: Please note that false or

REQUIREMENTS : ABET/Basic Education. No experience required. Job Related Knowledge:
Repair and maintenance and patrol roads. Firefighting. Signs of animal
disease. Animal tracking. Job Related Skills: Basic numeracy skills and basic
literacy skills. Work overtime and during weekends. Exposure to wild animals.
Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
DUTIES : Repair breakages and replace stolen sections of fence. Remove trees, weeds
and tall grasses along the fence and patrol roads and apply herbicides as
required. Maintenance and repair of the patrol road and drainage trenches.
Firefighting and prevention of fire along the fence. Prevent/deter transboundary movement of animal diseases.
Daily patrol and inspection of disease
control fence for breakages. Quarantine all illegal animals. Safe disposal of
carcasses found along the fence. Daily patrol of gates on the disease control
