Job Overview
Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions is seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join its team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and staff, while adhering strictly to all road safety regulations and company standards.
This role is ideal for an individual who is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent service. The Driver will play a critical role in supporting daily operations by ensuring that deliveries are completed on time and that staff are transported safely between locations.
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all deliveries and transportation activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and road traffic regulations. The Driver is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, reliability, and customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Safe and Timely Delivery of Goods
The Driver will be responsible for transporting goods to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. This includes ensuring that items are handled with care to prevent damage and that delivery schedules are met consistently.
Staff Transportation
In addition to delivering goods, the Driver will transport staff between various units or locations as required. The safety and comfort of passengers must always be prioritised, and all journeys must comply with traffic laws and company guidelines.
Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness
The Driver must ensure that the assigned vehicle is kept clean, presentable, and in good working condition. Regular checks should be conducted to identify any maintenance issues, and servicing must be carried out as required to maintain roadworthiness.
Documentation and Record-Keeping
Accurate completion of delivery documents is essential. The Driver will be responsible for maintaining all relevant paperwork, including delivery notes and logbooks. All records must be updated regularly and kept in an organised manner.
Logbook Management
A detailed logbook must be maintained at all times, recording all trips, distances travelled, and any relevant notes. This is crucial for tracking vehicle usage and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Reporting of Incidents and Defects
Any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents must be reported immediately to the relevant supervisor. Prompt reporting ensures that issues are addressed quickly and helps maintain safety standards.
Time Management and Efficiency
The Driver must complete all assigned tasks within specified timeframes. Effective time management is essential to ensure that deliveries and transport schedules are adhered to without delays.
Additional Duties
The role may require the Driver to assist with tasks outside of the primary scope of responsibilities when necessary. Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to team efforts are important aspects of the position.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08)
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Proven ability to drive safely and responsibly
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations
- Physically fit and able to perform duties as required
Working Conditions
This role involves regular driving within and around Cape Town and may include long hours on the road. The Driver must be comfortable working in different environments and adapting to varying schedules. The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
