Description
To safely and efficiently transport goods, equipment, or materials to designated destinations while ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
- 2–5 years’ driving experience.
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
- Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Code 10 vehicle.
- Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes.
- Load and offload cargo where required.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
- Maintain delivery notes, logbooks, and proof of delivery documents.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Adhere to the National Road Traffic Act and company safety procedures.
- Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, or incidents immediately.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and collections.
- Experience in logistics, distribution, retail, or warehousing.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Experience using delivery tracking systems or GPS navigation.
