Job Description :
All academic and application-related questions are answered by the Wits Student Call Center for students, parents, and other interested parties.
The main duty of the Call Center is to respond to any general questions regarding students through telephone and in writing. The staff is expected to connect with students and respond to their inquiries about a variety of topics, such as closing dates, bursary and residential application deadlines, graduation dates, course modifications, and exam publishing dates.
The positions call for employees with extraordinary “people skills,” a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, and the capacity to share and learn a great deal about university student life.
The call center representative will offer a service by managing initial inquiries and addressing issues about students, and only escalate calls when situations call for specialized information. All applicants and students will be required to get information from the agents in accordance with the call center’s standards and procedures. They will need to listen carefully to problems in order to identify them, speak effectively, simply, and professionally, and keep correct records that are documented in the database.

Qualifications and Experience :
- Matric & post matric diploma
- Call Centre experience would be advantageous.
- Strong student centred, service orientated
- An excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
- Excellent telephone manner and good typing skills
- The ability to cope and work under pressure
- At least one year’s experience in a related field (e.g. Call Centre /Public Relations)
