Job Advert Summary
The Handyman is required to perform maintenance tasks within the Plant, providing support to the Maintenance Team as and when required.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
Relevant experience in applying job-related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
Previous work experience working with senior management.
Business English: Fluent
Ability to work in extreme conditions and confined spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs.
Receive job cards to complete scheduled work.
Repair elementary electrical, welding and civil (plaster, tiling, plumbing etc.) task.
Lease with contractors on site when necessary.
Perform weekly checks on racking, generators, doc levellers, fire pump and valve stations.
Required to be on standby as per roster.
Safe working conditions
Ensure safety requirements are met aligned with your responsibilities.
Demarcate working areas as and when required.
Conduct weekly fire pump and valve run together with documentation.
Conduct weekly generator run with documentation.
Weekly doc levellers’ inspection with documentation.
Daily Ladder inspections.
Weekly racking inspection.
Concrete floor and bollard repairs
Boiler making tasks – build the safety cages used for stock take.
Inspecting and testing of the 380V truck plugs.
Oversee ammonia plant and coordinate with EP for additional repairs outside of the SLA.
Lease with contractors on site as and when required.
