Job Description :

A Packer is needed by Dis-Chem Pharmacies for their Cornubia Store. The primary goal of this position is to ensure efficient and accurate receipt and packing of product in accordance with Dis-Chem’s standard operational guidelines, client requests, and store standards.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum of 6 months’ relevant retail receiving experience
• Basic mathematics
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Job Description :

• Empty the supplier delivery truck of the merchandise.
• Make sure that all delivered goods and commodities are assigned properly.
• Handle items carefully to prevent stock damage and human injury.
• Sorting and packing various commodities into their own pallets will make checking in goods easier.
• Recognize any inconsistencies, such as damaged or missing items or incorrect labelling, and report the problems as necessary.
• Sort stock with the help of the receiving clerk and help with the checking process.
• Stock should be properly and accurately packed onto a pallet or into shelves.
• Fill out an administrative form and fulfill any organizational requirements for accidents or damages that happened during packaging in accordance with Dis-Chem SOPs.
