- Matric/ Grade 12/ NQF level 4 or 5 certificate or equivalent
- Any related tertiary or additional certification in hospitality or tourism is a plus.
- Proven experience as a hotel or lodge receptionist or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities (to mention a few) :
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the game lodge, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Handle guest inquiries, provide accurate information about the lodge amenities and assist with any special requests.
- Answering the telephone in a professional manner and transferring calls to different departments.
- Manage and prioritize guest reservations using the lodge’s booking system (Protel), ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest rooms are prepared and well-maintained.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintaining an organized and smooth front desk operation.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and appropriately, escalating to management when necessary.
- Manage guest payments, process credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Provide tourism information to guests, including recommendations on local attractions, activities, and dining options.
- Assist with coordinating transportation and arranging safari tours or other activities for guests as requested.
- Maintain a neat and tidy reception area to present a professional image to guests.
