REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic Education and Training (NQF level 3) for Security Officers;
- a current PSIRA Certificate.
- Additional benefit: Grade C PSIRA certificate with a matriculation.
- understanding of store security measures, equipment movement controls, and access control protocols.
- understanding of the authority granted to security agents by several laws, such as MISS, the Access Control Act, and the Protection of Information Act.
- understanding of the appropriate emergency procedures.
- possess the following abilities: verbal and written communication, telephone etiquette, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, customer service, surveillance skills, and honesty and integrity.
- Be prepared to put in extra time and shifts.
Duties :
- Conduct access control, which includes but is not limited to: (Filling out or ensuring that the admission control register is controlled and issuing control documents/cards as required, escorting visitors to the appropriate employees/venues as necessary, Determine suspicious behavior and investigate occurrences, etc.).
- Patrol the facility or grounds to look for and inspect suspicious objects and parcels.
- watch over the alarm system and react to it, Verify that no departmental equipment, supplies, or assets leave the building or premises in vehicles entering or leaving the area.
- At the point of entry, handle documents in accordance with the prescribed classification and procedures, and record any incidences in the occurrence book/registers.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Level 4 or 5 NQF (A grade 12 certificate or equivalent).
- a security clearance (A minimum of 1 year of study)
- Authentic PSIRA Grade B certificate.
- 3 years of security experience; understanding of access control protocols.
- understanding of the controls and procedures for moving stocks and equipment.
- understanding of the authority granted to security agents by several laws, such as MISS, the Access Control Act, and the Protection of Information Act.
- understanding of the appropriate emergency procedures.
- possess the following competencies: verbal and written communication, telephone etiquette, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, customer service, honesty and integrity, and surveillance abilities.

Duties :
- Assigning tasks to security officers and service providers, monitoring results, and putting in place the appropriate corrective measures to address deviations from norms and standards are just a few of the security activities that must be overseen to ensure compliance with department security policies.
- to prevent unauthorized entry into buildings and other locations, access control monitoring Examine and report any security measures that aren’t working (e.g. X-Ray machines, Walk-through metal detectors, security lights etc.).
- By managing critical control systems, identifying risks and threats to the department’s security, reporting broken equipment/systems, conducting initial incident investigations, and submitting reports, you can offer security-related services.
