Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Data Capturer position is to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable capturing and management of data within the EPWP Reporting System.
The successful candidates will play a critical role in supporting project monitoring, reporting, and evaluation through proper data handling and system updates.
Key Performance Areas
The appointed candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the integrity and efficiency of the EPWP reporting process. These include:
Accurately capturing data into the Expanded Public Works Programme Reporting System in line with departmental standards and procedures.
Transcribing information from source documents into the system while ensuring correctness and completeness.
Verifying captured data against source documents to maintain high levels of accuracy and authenticity.
Maintaining accurate, organized, and up-to-date records within the system to support reporting and auditing processes.
Updating monthly project performance data, including financial expenditure and project outputs, ensuring that all information reflects current and accurate figures.
Ensuring that all collected and stored data is handled with strict confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection policies.
Identifying and reporting discrepancies or errors in data for correction and improvement of data quality.
Supporting administrative processes related to data management as required by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirement:
A Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
This basic qualification ensures that candidates have the foundational literacy and numeracy skills required to perform data capturing duties effectively.
