Job Description:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure timely deliveries of VKB Milling products while maintaining exceptional customer service and contributing to the company’s growth objectives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the distribution function of VKB Milling, ensuring products are delivered efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
- Timely Deliveries: Ensure the prompt and efficient delivery of Super-Sure products, adhering to the delivery schedule and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Truck Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery trucks, ensuring they are always presentable and well-kept.
- Incident and Accident Reporting: Promptly report any incidents or accidents to management, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Proof of Delivery (POD) Control: Manage all Proof of Delivery documents, ensuring they are signed, stamped, and accurately accounted for at all times.
- Fuel Consumption Management: Monitor fuel consumption to meet company targets and standards, ensuring efficient and cost-effective vehicle operation.
- Stock Control: Oversee the accurate loading and unloading of stock from the truck, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Crate Control: Supervise the loading and unloading of trays, maintaining accuracy and control to ensure no discrepancies.
- Daily Vehicle Checklists: Perform daily vehicle inspections, complete checklists, report any defects, and submit signed reports to the fleet controller or supervisor.
- Document Control: Manage all relevant documentation, including PODs, fuel slips, toll slips, and trip sheets, ensuring they are organized and submitted appropriately.
- Crew Management: Oversee and manage the crew on the truck, ensuring teamwork and compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 or NQF4 with strong numerical skills and PC literacy.
- License: Valid Code 14 driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in driving, with a solid understanding of sales and distribution processes.
- Availability: Ability to work under pressure in a 6-day work week position, including weekends and public holidays as per the roster.
- Background Check: Must have a clear criminal record.
